SM CITY SAN JOSE DEL MONTE KICKS OFF CHRISTMAS WITH HOPE
SM City San Jose del Monte’s Christmas centerpiece stands the 25-foot Christmas tree on top of the 10-foot high insta-worthy tunnel surrounded with colorful characters and 6-foot tall Christmas trees filled with red decorations.
It’s the time of the year again. The time when jolly songs blast out of the speakers, colorful decorations and lights are everywhere, and the time when kids and kids at heart excitedly await for gifts to come. It’s Christmas time!
This year may be far from how we imagined it to be, yet SM City San Jose del Monte kicks off the holiday season with hope.
Unlike the previous years with grandiose program, this year’s traditional Christmas tree lighting is simple and quick but undeniably more meaningful. SM City San Jose del Monte honors the modern day heroes, who are unceasingly fighting the invisible enemy, the coronavirus.
“Even as it is a challenging year, we will continuously bring joy.” Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel Correa said during the launch as he shares some of the exciting treats for shoppers. “SM wants to be part of your Christmas joy.” he added.
The quick program concluded the lighting of the 25-foot Christmas tree on top of the 10-foot insta-worthy tunnel with the assertion of larger-than-life Christmas characters to complete the centerpiece.
Also located at the lower ground floor of SM City San Jose del Monte, beside the Christmas centerpiece is the ‘Bears of Joy’. This year’s bears are inspired by the frontline workers – Kit the doctor who positions for hope, Heart the nurse means love, Ace the soldier stands for unity, and the police officer Max, who resembles strength.
As Christmas is about sharing, SM City San Jose del Monte also launch the annual gift giving of ‘Bears of Joy’ with the #ShareHopeWithSM campaign. Inspired by the selfless dedication, courage, and sacrifice of our frontline workers, the annual project allows generous shoppers to similarly give joy to the underprivileged kids through the simple act of bear giving in partnership with Toy Kingdom.
Moreover, SM also support the Department of Trade and Industry’s campaign, ‘Buy Local, Go Lokal’ through its own ‘Kasama Ng SM’ campaign to support micro, small, and medium enterprises. “If we continue to help and uplift each other, we can bounce forward, stronger together.” Mall Manager Correa added.
