PSA ROLLS OUT PHILSYS STEP 2 NATIONAL ID REGISTRATION AT SM CITY BALIWAG
Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) rolls out Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 Registration in SM City Baliwag— one of its mall registration partners in Bulacan.
From June 16, 2021 onwards, registrants with Appointment Slip or Application Reference Number (ARN) and were notified by PSA via text message may proceed to the PhilSys Registration Center located at the second level, Cyberzone area in SM City Baliwag.
To guide public on the registration process, SM City Baliwag and PSA have deployed detailed signages showing systematic procedure for smooth and orderly manner of registration. PhilSys Step 2 registration process includes (1) Validation of appointment slip and supporting documents, (2) Verification of demographic information, (3) Capturing of biometric information such as iris-scan, fingerprint and front-facing photo, (4) Issuance of transaction slip.
After successfully completing Step 2 Registration, registrants will be given a PhilSys Number (PSN). PhilID will be delivered to registrant’s chosen address via Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost).
To ensure public safety, SM City Baliwag in partnership with PSA adhere to strict implementation of the standard health and safety protocols set by the IATF and DOH. Registrants will be requested to observe a safe distance, especially when queuing. Temperature checks upon entry, mandatory wearing of face mask and strictly no appointment, no entry will likewise be implemented to regulate registrants. SM City Baliwag also assigned security and disinfection team for crowd management and maintaining sanitation protocols.
To usher the nation towards a digital society, PhilSys aims to provide valid and unique proof of identification to all Filipinos as to make public and private transactions fast and more convenient. As such, citizens will be entitled to improved access of government services such as health, education, financial and social protection.
PhilSys Step 2 Registration at SM City Baliwag will last for a year, and target to accommodate at least 250 registrants per day. For safety and convenience, registrants may register online through https://register.philsys.gov.ph/ prior Step 2 registration.
Following SM City Baliwag, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is yet to announce start date of PhilSys Step 2 Registration at SM Center Pulilan, one of its assigned registration centers in the first district of Bulacan.
