Exploring the Emerald City of the Philippines
Spending most of my residency in the south of Manila, I have never thought there could be much more than the concrete jungle and the modern infrastructures. Instagram-worthy sights and serene surroundings are ready for the taking in this highly-urbanized place, Muntinlupa, which is just a few hours away from my home. As if a valuable stone dug from the ground, cut and processed to reveal its beauty, it now shines as a jewel and is now popularly known as the Emerald City of the Philippines. Also, huge development has taken place in Muntinlupa particularly in Alabang district giving it the monicker of “Most Competitive and Improved City”.
What was once a farming district has now transformed from a village to an urbanized center. Ayala Alabang Village is the cleanest, largest, and most luxurious residential executive subdivision in the country while Alabang Town Center, Festival Mall, and Manuela Metropolis are regarded as some of the most prestigious malls in the Philippines. Evia Lifestyle Center, on the other hand, is an upscale commercial center with a European theme and lets you experience world-class shopping. As the number of residents continue to rise, Lumina Heights Muntinlupa is building a mid-rise condominium located at the heart of the bustling community.
As famous TV infomercials say.. but wait there’s more! Muntinlupa is awarded by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Most Business Friendly City in 2001, 2002 & 2006. Unknown to many, Muntinlupa is the first city in the country to ban the usage of plastic bags and Styrofoam for packaging. Furthermore, in September 2015, Muntinlupa received the Seal of Good Local Governance.
It is surprising to find out that at the very location which has given the city its past infamy, the State penitentiary reservation complex reveals peaceful, clean, and safe attractions. The Jamboree Lake was declared as a historical site and said to be the smallest natural lake in the country. Within the vicinity is a park where one can relax and commune with nature. Fishing, bird watching and having picnics are some activities that can be done here.
Palazzo Verde left me in awe. The pages of fairy tale books are materialized and will leave you breathless. The location is perfect for occasions or life’s milestones that deserve nothing less than the best. I can see myself getting wed in a place like this.
Having all kinds of leisure activities around the Emerald city, finding a place to call home is next to impossible. Lumina Heights Muntinlupa is situated at the center of Muntinlupa City’s conveniences – malls, supermarkets, schools, churches, hospitals, and business center. Also, due to its location, it is preferred by city workers.
Renting is a thing of the past since monthly payment is similar to regular rental rates. The units are priced lower than family homes, hence it is affordable. Moreover, it has high property appraisal.
Located at Barangay Poblacion in Muntinlupa City, Lumina Heights is composed of two six-storey residential buildings (a total of 336 saleable units). They offer residents unparalleled comfort and convenience. Here is what you get when you purchase a unit at Lumina Heights Muntinlupa :

I’m currently residing in Muntinlupa and I’m happy in this place. Unlike the other cities in Manila (Quezon City and Makati), there are more trees here (I grew up in Quezon province that’s why I long for parks and fresh air) and most places are very accessible.
