MoneyGram Opens Overseas Filipino Worker Center in Manila

MANILA (August 24, 2017): MoneyGram International celebrated the opening of its first Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Center in the heart of Manila today. The new facility will be used to educate millions of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) about the importance of financial literacy to help prepare them for living abroad.

Members of MoneyGram’s management team including Alex Holmes, chief executive officer; Grant Lines, chief revenue officer for AMEAP, Russia and CIS region, and; Yogesh Sangle, regional head of Asia Pacific, attended the opening ceremony. The event was also supported by Robin Padilla, MoneyGram’s global Filipino ambassador, along with MoneyGram’s regional sales and marketing teams.

MoneyGram has partnered with DAMLAG Council Inc., an Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) that is an accredited provider of Pre-Departure Orientation Seminars (PDOS). MoneyGram sponsorship of financial literacy talks are expected to strengthen the existing PDOS curriculum which currently touches on topics including health, migration, standard employment contract details, travel tips, OWWA benefits and social programs, and guidelines on what to do and not to do upon arrival at the country of deployment. In addition, a simple safety guide with secure ways to send money home will also be provided.

Rather than playing down the urgency of fighting germs, the visual and auditory adrenaline-packed portrayal captures the imagination and attention not only of children but of their mothers and primary care givers.

“We hope to capture the attention of modern, busy moms and young adults alike, and a lot of them grew up watching and looking up to TV superheroes. We thought this creative execution is something that will help us stand out,” Jacobe says.

The two-minute video shared online expanded the audience reach of the ad material. “We were able to target a wider audience, specially those who don’t regularly watch TV and spend more time online (thus missed out seeing our TVC),” Jacobe explained. “The video on https://www.facebook.com/hygienixph/ showed a more complete and fun story, which engaged a lot of people to share it on their pages, and in turn, increased ad viewership.”

With Publicis Jimenez Basic as the creative agency and Arena Media as media agency, the campaign is proof that a good combination of creative work and putting the message out there through media will result in message delivery covering all bases to target moms through TV and online.

According to Jacobe: “Based on comments received on the Hygienix Facebook Page, the videos were effective in convincing consumers to try the product, and or for those who tried the product, liked it and made it a regular part of their grocery list. It sparked online conversations among our target market.”

The Dangers of Side Effects Presented as Main Effects

In the medical world, proper use of words is highly called for because a simple mistake could complicate things usually unwanted for the patients. Dr.Paolo Bellosillo insights about caring for his patients

Doc Pao is one of the kindest, if not the kindest doctor that you will ever meet. A lot of doctors say that they care about their patients but trust you me when I say that Dr. Paolo Bellosillo truly, madly, deeply cares for his patients in every way of form.

We had the chance to sit down and talk to Doc Pao amidst his busy schedule and here’s what we were able to discuss.

1. With the many things you have accomplished already, what else do you wish to accomplish this remaining half of 2017?

Formulate natural therapeutics that are not ingested but applied on the skin to make people glow and feel they are great because they are who they are. To have gold on their skin because they deserve it, because they are beautiful already and have value that can be flaunted or shown. To make people ageless, whiter and glow to see their real features. Giving them luxury made affordable is just a dream for now but hopefully a reality that will come true.

2. What has been your biggest achievement this year?

I had a married couple in their senior years who came to see me for assistance. The wife actually had multiple strokes and the husband was in average health but stress seemed to catch up. It would be hard to see your loved one deteriorate before you throughout the years to the extent that knowing who you are and what you are to each other seemed to need so much effort to know what was true- husband and wife. Apparently the husband wakes up every morning to seeing his wife not knowing his name or that he was her husband. This was sad, and this was happening for many long years.

With that in mind just a few weeks ago, after therapy the husband tells me his sadness was overwhelming because his wife seemed to forget who he was. I sought permission given the fact we had down therapy for her brain for enhanced memory and function for some time, so I asked the wife: ” Ma’am, who is he? The she said he is Ramon Py. Then the husband smiled, but I didn’t stop, therefore I proceeded in asking “Who is he to you?”, then the wife said “He is my husband.”

They both looked at each other and smiled in complete and perfect love as I looked at them and smiled too.

3. What has been the biggest challenge in getting people to believe in your line of work?

It is when they have met other doctors who they sought for help from but actually made more harm. They feel bad about it and think every doctor is like that. In reality, not every doctor is a docere, a teacher or born to teach with a passion or with a heart, when people see that and the approach is holistic and evidence based, views and outlooks change.

4. Who is your target client? What can you do for them?

People of all ages preventing diseases that wreak havoc in our communities such as chronic and degenerative diseases. Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Artery, Cardiac Insufficiency, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cancer of all forms.

Where heart transplants or kidney transplants are needed hope in saving the said organs can still apply for natural and friendly holistic therapies can still be undertaken. People who want to achieve ageless beauty, which is disposition and holistic integrity from within to our should see me.

We hope that there will be more doctors like Doc Pao who really want what is best for the people and the patients that he sees. The world would be a healthier place if that were the case.
